The interior design of the Hata Bagata restaurant
The interior design of the Hata Bagata restaurant was developed based on a folk style. The interior features decorative elements that remind visitors of the everyday life of Ukrainians from the 19th and mid-20th centuries. On the background of the white ceiling and walls, embroidered curtains on the windows, Ukrainian embroidery ornaments on the beams under the ceiling, embroidered towels on the tables, and covers of the same fabric on the sofas stand out. Lamps with wicker lampshades are decorated similarly to Ukrainian women’s scarves.
The bartender’s counter in the restaurant’s interior design is made of natural lacquered wood, covered with a canopy, and its front, facing the clients, features a glass showcase displaying traditional household items, including didukhs.
One of the corners presents the interior of a 19th-century Ukrainian rural house — a Ukrainian stove decorated with a floral pattern, old-style household items — clay and wooden folk dishes, and furniture made of natural wood.
On both sides of the traditional stove in the restaurant’s interior design, there is a shelf stylized as a plate rack with glazed clay plates. The wooden bench has been modernized for comfort and decorated with cushions covered in Ukrainian embroidery. The designer also included a chest for clothes, once found in every house, along with Hutsul sheepskin coats and the traditional krisania hat. On the wall above the stove, there are traditional tongs for removing hot pots with prepared dishes.
The development of the interior design for the restaurant’s interior design Chata Bogata included the arrangement of several halls, as well as the selection of textiles. In general, they share a common stylistic unity and the same decorative elements and attributes. Differences lie in the zoning of the spaces and the selection of different furniture options. In the main hall, we decided to separate the tables with wooden partitions up to the height of the sofa backs, while in the banquet hall, chairs with simple white covers and embroidered ribbons stand by the tables.
